Race Report Misano
2025/10/26

The final championship decisions were made during the sixth and final race weekend of the 2025 BOSS GP season, which took place as part of the first Misano Historic Racing Weekend.

BOSS GP FORMULA Pro
All eyes were on Sophia Flörsch (GER, R&B Research and Wealth Management) this weekend. The well-known German racing driver made her debut in the BOSS GP Racing Series, fulfilling all expectations with flying colours. The 24-year-old secured two start-to-finish victories, leaving Italian Simone Colombo (MM International) in second place. Although practice and qualifying suggested a close battle between the two GP2 drivers, Flörsch dominated both races. However, Colombo and his team still had plenty to celebrate: after his successes in 2022 and 2023, the Italian secured the championship title once again, ahead of Marco Ghiotto (ITA, Scuderia Palladio), who also made it onto the podium on Sunday. Thomas Zeltner (SUI, Scuderia Palladio) fought his way to third place in the first race, allowing the BOSS GP Rookie to move ahead of Max Cuccarese (ITA, MM International) into third place in the overall standings.

BOSS GP FORMULA
In the FORMULA classification, two drivers still had a chance of winning the title before the final race. Paul O'Connell (IRE, HS Engineering) and Stephan Glaser (SUI, Scuderia Palladio). However, O'Connell secured victory early on with two start-to-finish wins in his World Series V8, dominating the season ahead of Glaser in the GP2/11. Glaser, last year's SUPER LIGHTS champion, still performed strongly and was delighted with two more podium finishes.
Andreas Fiedler (GER, Fiedler Racing), who had only competed sporadically this season, finally built on his previous performances, finishing third in the first race at the Misano World Circuit. He was on course for a podium finish in the second race, but lost valuable places due to a driving error in a duel with Marco Minelli (ITA, AM Sport System) and slipped back to fourth place. Roland Rupprechter (AUT, R&B Research and Wealth Management) also performed well, finishing fourth in the first race. Wolfgang Jordan (GER, H&A Racing) returned to BOSS GP with a fifth-place finish, while Erich Zech (GER, Team Top Speed) collected valuable points with a seventh- and fifth-place finish. Following the technical knockout of his World Series V6 at the start of the season, Andreas Hasler (AUT, Hasler Motorsport) has switched to a World Series V8 and thus to the FORMULA class. In only his second race in the new car, Hasler was on course for a podium finish, but unfortunately had to retire after a spin towards the end of the race.

BOSS GP SUPER LIGHTS
In the smallest category, Italian Formula 3000 drivers Walter Colacino and Giulio Tine shared the race victories this time. Colacino also took third place overall in this class. Henry Clausnitzer (GER, WF Racing) secured the championship title for the second time, with Stefan Scho (GER) finishing as runner-up.

This marks the end of the 31st season of the BOSS GP Racing Series. The new season will feature new race tracks and dates, which will be announced shortly. Registration will open in the new year.
